1959 Dodge Sweptside D100 Pickup | |
Price: $ 19,500 Type: Collector/Classic Miles: 0 Exterior Color: Turquoise/White Interior Color: Turquoise/White Location: Twin Falls, ID |
Description: The one with the TAILFINS. Recently (completed April 2002) restoration from the ground up. Original 318 V8 rebuilt with less than 100 miles, 4 speed transmission, all new oak bed wood with new polished stainless steel strips and bolts, new Coker wide whitewall radials, restored original full wheelcovers, new tinted windshield and side glass, new stainless steel brake and fuel lines, new pleated vinyl interior.... Basically, new everthing, including chrome and freshly polished stainless trim. Totally new paint inside and out, in that most popular of 50's colors Turquoise & White. THIS TRUCK ALSO HAS THE CAB ROOF MOUNTED AND VERY RARE MODEL 700 RADIO AND ROOFTOP ANTENNA. Eveything works. No rust whatsoever. Southern California vehicle recently brought to Idaho for completion of restoration. Won 1st place in its class, last weekend, in its first competition. There is no doubt, this is the rarest of all post-WW2 trucks. Dodge quit making these in January 1959 and therefore it is likely that less than 100 were produced for 1959. We know of only 26 others surviving in any condition and of only 2 others that are restored and they aren't forsale. Asking $19,500...... You won't find a nicer one than this.... If you do, then buy it at any price! |
